We did this room with a total of 4 people, all of them relatives and/or friends. We did NOT complete this room but made it about 90% through.
Lamya – This is a tough room. Right from the start, it’s hard to figure out where to go or what to focus on. But once you get rolling, you can build a nice (and exciting!) momentum. I will say that there’s one puzzle in here that I feel would be nearly impossible to solve without using one of your hints for it. Definitely need both linear and abstract thinkers for this one.
Jason – This room has a decent amount of challenge to it. Like some of the other rooms at Escape City the challenges get progressively more difficult as you move on. At times you will be able to split the puzzles between members of your group but at other times you’ll need to work together. It’s a room that really needs teamwork.
Lamya – It’s a neat room and has a kind of old-school grandma-and-grandpa’s-house feel to it. There’s a puzzle that is super cool (you’ll see all the parts needed for it, but you’ll have to figure out how to use them!).
Jason – The creativity is definitely there. Once again there is good attention to detail and you can tell that a lot of thought went into creating the challenges.
Lamya – A few cool surprises! If you can keep making progress in this room, there’s always a visual payoff along the way. As mentioned above, there’s a simple but cool puzzle that is unique to the rooms we’ve seen.
Jason – Definitely enough of a surprise factor to keep you entertained. This is not the kind of room with a surprise around every corner, but instead provides a very decent challenge level to it.
Lamya – While I found the end frustrating, overall the room is quite challenging, and ultimately, gratifying. Don’t do this at the start, but maybe after you’ve got a few rooms under your belt.
Jason – I would say that overall this is a room that I would attempt after trying some other easier ones first. There is a good amount of teamwork required if you want to get to the end. I do find that sometimes things can get a little too hard towards the end and things become frustrating and a bit stressful. If you like this then you’ll love this room. Overall it is pretty solid.
